Disney Channel's smash hit movie musical comes to life on your stage in Disney's High School Musical! Troy, Gabriella and the students of East High must deal with issues of first love, friends and family while balancing their classes and extra curricular activities.
It's the first day after winter break at East High. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians and Skater Dudes find their cliques, recount their vacations and look forward to the new year. Basketball team captain and resident jock, Troy, discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. They cause an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical, led by Ms. Darbus. Although many students resent the threat posed to the "status quo," Troy and Gabriella's alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well.
Disney's High School Musical is fun for the whole family. Its large cast size and upbeat numbers make it the ideal show for middle and high school productions or the highlight of any community theatre's season! This One-Act Version is ideal for competitions or for theatres looking to perform for school groups.

Bridging the gap between MTI's Broadway Junior musicals and a full two-act show, MTI's One-Act Edition makes producing a musical easy and fun!
Similar to our Broadway Junior model, accredited schools K-9 pay a flat fee of $695.00 and the license lets you perform the show as many times as you like for up to one year.
Non-accredited schools may also license the show by paying standard materials and royalty fees, but there is no age limit for your performers.
The materials (which are yours to keep regardless of your organization type), consist of 30 Libretto/Vocal Books (script and songs for the actors), a Piano/Vocal Score, an Accompaniment Recording that features the back-up tracks to use in performance, and a Reference Recording that contains the full score performed by an ensemble of actors to help your cast prepare for the show.
