Elliot Davis

Elliot has spent his career as a writer, composer and musical director for radio, film and the stage.

His shows have been seen on stages all over the world from Broadway to the West End, including Loserville (Olivier Nominated for Best Musical), Becoming Nancy, Peter Pan, Soho Cinders, Fings Ain’t Wot They Used T’Be, Best Friends & Butterflies, Ain’t No Sunshine - The Bill Withers Musical, Silence and I - The Alan Parsons Project Musical and many more. 

Elliot is also a prolific music documentary maker for the BBC. He has written the life stories of some of music’s biggest names including, Freddie Mercury’s 60 Commemoration for the BBC, The Bee Gees, Gloria Estefan, Neil Diamond, Barry Manilow, James Last, Paul Anka and Burt Bacharach. He was recently commissioned  to write a six part series on the work of Musical Arrangers for the BBC. 

For film he is the inaugural recipient of the JJ Screenwriting Bursary in association with BAFTA. His first feature film screenplay ‘Consider Yourself’ was commissioned by BBC films and is set to be in production in 2023. He has just completed his second feature film also for the BBC.

As a conductor and arranger, Elliot developed a close musical collaboration with Burt Bacharach. He was musical director for the BBC / Senbla’s Televised ‘A Life In Song With Burt Bacharach’ at the Festival Hall and musical director for Mr Bacharach’s recent Palladium and Festival Hall concerts.

Elliot has recently toured with and acted as musical director for Bacharach, Joss Stone as well as Marc Almond and Sophie Ellis Bextor. He also conducted and re-arranged The Moody Blues ‘Day’s Of Future Passed - Live Concerts’ which saw the live recreation of the Moody’s seminal album with a 75 piece Orchestra. The shows were performed at The Hollywood Bowl and filmed live from the Sony Centre Toronto.

He has just returned from conducting ‘Return Of The Jedi’ with live orchestra for Disney Concerts & Senbla.
