Hello and Welcome to Show Support from MTI.

AN INTRODUCTION

This is Cindy Ripley and I wanted to let you know about some exciting new developments with MTI’s unique help and advice program, MTI Show Support.  

If you’ve never used Show Support, this is the perfect time to start.  Free to all customers putting on a Broadway Junior or Kids Collection show, MTI Show Support provides help or ideas on how to create a successful production.  Simply post your question on the MTI Show Support Page, and you’ll receive prompt response.

Keeping up with the latest theatrical best practices on MTI ShowSpace is easy since all users can add to the group’s ongoing conversations about the things that matter most to your theatre, such as:

• Selecting the best show for your organization 

• Renting or purchasing costumes and set pieces

• Communicating more effectively with your cast and crew

• Financing production, raising money and producing a show on a shoestring budget

• and a whole lot more

What’s unique about Show Support on MTI ShowSpace is the community element.  Posting a question in the group’s forums provides instant access to the rest of the ShowSpace community, many of whom may have their own creative solutions and suggestions.  A quick look at others questions can give ideas, as well—one school’s method of transforming the Beast into the Prince, for example, could work perfectly for the witch’s transformation in your production of Into the Woods Junior. 

In addition, ShowSpace’s photo and video features enable you to better illustrate staging, set, and costume questions that are more difficult to describe.  And with the show’s ShowSpace page only a click away, photos of past productions—school or otherwise—can be valuable resources.

ABOUT CINDY RIPLEY

During her in her 33 years as a vocal educator and music department chair of the Gowanda, NY, Central School district, Cindy initiated Gowanda’s musical theater program. She produced and directed over 60 productions, supplementing her lack of a budget with creativity and enthusiasm. By the end of her tenure, the all-school musicals were receiving a “football” response. The talent of the students was the talk of the town and many community members lent a hand in contributing their resources and/or expertise to productions. 

In addition to Cindy's personal expertise, Show Support utilizes the vast expertise of every department at MTI in order to provide you with complete answers to your production questions.
