Where in the world.....

By Cindy Ripley on November 03, 2009

I guess I will always be a teacher through and through.  Why else do I still get such a charge out of getting a facebook message from a student who is now forty plus and living in Hawaii asking me if I remember the role he played in his 5th grade musical?  I know you all receive the same affirmations (or will as your career progresses). The beauty of the internet and the way we communicate has given students and teachers an easy and instant ability to let each other know that a  musical theater experience has made a mark in their lives.  MTI SHOWSPACE has opened up an amazing new world to those of us who "juice up" at what musical theater does for kids. Where else can you instantly get advice, consolation, brilliant ideas as well as staying current and enjoy the fact that "we're all in this together!"  I am so excited to get to chat with so many of you from all OVER the globe, share ideas and hopefully bring new ones your way.  Enjoy exploring this awesome site...BRAVO to Jason, Marcus and all of you who have toiled for months to make it work for teachers and students alike!  Hope some of you will join the "launch party" on November 12th.  I will be in China, (maybe even seeing a junior show?), and will miss you party animals, but am looking forward to seeing many of you at the MTI booth at the NYSSMA Conference, 12/3-12/5 in Rochester, NY.  We will reveal a little "Flat Stanley Jr." performed by kids...I am psyched!!  Welcome aboard my friends...looking forward to hearing from you!!
