Guitar Sheet Music

How intense is the difficulty of the guitar part of the orchestration? Or, how vital of a role does the guitarist have in the pit? My (potential) musical director has let me know that most guitarists he has are at a rhythm guitar level, but can't read sheet music particularly well and would need a lot of coaching.

Can you change the performance dates for your show after having sent in the completed contract?

Before sending in my completed contract, I asked everyone in the show if they were available during the performance days, and they all said yes. Unfortunately, quite a few of our performers forgot a trip they had already paid $500 each for that was non-refundable.

I really don't want to recast the play, since we just barely had enough auditions to put it on, and I'm not sure we'd be able to fill all the roles if we tried to.

Is there any chance that MTI would let us change the performance dates by a week?

In case this changes the answer, we're putting on 2 performances of Into The Woods Jr. in May, 2019.

Thanks,

Kye

Orchestration question-bass

In the information on the website for the orchestration it is just listed as "bass" doubling for "acoustic bass". So do I need to have an upright string bass or an electric bass guitar?

I noticed that you were readying Oliver Twist for a Jr. show.  When will it be released?  I need a show ready to go in a couple of weeks!

What does "bv" mean in the Mama Mia score

Throughout the score and libretto there is a lot of vocal harmony listed with the indication of "bv"

What does that mean?  An off stage chorus?  Back-up vocals?

Licensing More Shows

Hi there,

I was wanting to license Annie Jr however have noticed that when you apply for a license, you must input how many shows you will be performing... At this stage I am unsure whether we will perform 6 or 4 shows as if we have a large audition quantity, we would double cast and perform 6 shows. However if we have only numbers for a singular cast, we would perform 4 shows. Is there a way that I can license for 4 shows and add licensing for another two shows if we do end up double casting?

Thanks, Zac
